At Africa Youth Club (AYC), our vision encompasses a commitment aimed at addressing oppression and advocacy.

ADVOCACY

We believe that advocacy is the most powerful tool for driving meaningful change and protecting fundamental human rights. Guided by our mission to empower the voiceless, hold powerful institutions accountable, and challenge oppression, our advocacy efforts are rooted in courage, persistence, and unwavering dedication to justice. Our Advocacy projects include standing united in our dedication to effecting positive change and combating the escalating crisis of climate change. Our vision aligns with the profound beliefs echoed by prominent environmental activists such as Greta Thunberg, who appropriately identifies climate change as one of the paramount crises humanity has ever faced.

Additionally, as an advocacy group, we extend our commitment to fighting for the oppressed and against oppression wherever it occurs in the world. 

EMPOWERMENT

We believe in tangible actions that yield meaningful results. Through the support garnered from engagements like Lakhify's awe-inspiring Solutions; Lakhify ensures that 3.5% of every ticket sale directly funds impactful AYC projects that helps those impacted by oppression. These projects are meticulously designed and executed to bring about substantial and measurable differences in the fight against oppression, injustice and tyranny.

COMPLETED PROJECTS

As part of our bold Vision 2025 campaign, LAEN set out to empower 25,000 young minds across South Africa by 5 pm on December 31, 2025. This ambitious goal was driven by a passion to give young people the skills and confidence to lead, innovate, and thrive. While the challenges posed by the Covid-19 pandemic meant schools closed and opportunities were limited, our resolve remained unshaken.

Thanks to the sterling, valiant, and stoic leadership of Zeenith Lakhi and her incredible team, we didn’t just meet our target—we surpassed it. By December 31, 2022, a full three years ahead of schedule, we successfully impacted over 40,001 young pearls across the country. This was achieved by adopting eleven schools, including a special needs school, and implementing cutting-edge educational programs, mentorship, and leadership development initiatives.

Our vision was never just about numbers—it was about igniting the potential of each individual, fostering leadership, resilience, and self-confidence in young people who were ready to shape the future. Through our efforts, we’ve created an ever-growing community of passionate, empowered young leaders, prepared to rise above challenges and thrive in a world of endless possibilities.

How We Transformed One Man’s Life: The Story of Mr. V

At AYC, our commitment to empowerment is deeply personal. We understand that transformation doesn’t always happen on a large scale—it can begin with one individual who, through support, guidance, and opportunity, takes the first step toward rebuilding their life.

One such inspiring story is that of Mr. V, a man who once hit rock bottom. After losing everything—his home, his family, his income—he found himself at the mercy of despair. But that’s where we stepped in. Through our innovative solutions and personalized support, we showed Mr. V that there was hope.

We worked closely with him, taking the time to understand his unique circumstances and crafting a tailor-made plan to help him regain his financial footing. With our expert guidance in financial literacy, debt management, and personalized mentorship, Mr. V embarked on a journey of rebuilding from the ground up. Slowly but surely, he regained control of his finances and rebuilt his life—one that would secure his financial future and provide for his family.

The transformation didn’t just end with financial stability; it ignited a new sense of purpose and resilience within him. Through the personalized, one-on-one support we offer, Mr. V learned to manage his finances, build better habits, and, most importantly, rediscover his self-worth. His journey from despair to empowerment is a testament to the power of hope, support, and the unwavering belief that anyone can rebuild their life, no matter how dire the circumstances.

Africa Youth Club (AYC) operates as a Non-Profit Company in South Africa. We are an accredited Public Benefit Organization with the South African Revenue Service that makes contributions to AYC tax deductible. A proud Level 1 empowerment contributor, we adhere to the Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment Act.

The AYC Board of Directors is: Eshaak Lakhi (Non-Executive Chairman) and Zeenith Lakhi (CEO).
